What are the uses of polypropylene as a general-purpose plastic

     Polypropylene (PP) is one of the five most common plastics and is widely used in daily life, such as foam plastic boxes, PP plastic cups, etc. It can be divided into five types according to its main use!

    1. PP injection molding. 

In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standards and the implementation of the national two-child policy, the downstream demand for polypropylene injection molding has gradually increased. Different injection molding varieties have different demand seasons. For example, injection molding basins and buckets are in high demand during the school season, while ornaments and gifts are in high demand due to many festivals. Overall, the application of PP injection molding is relatively frequent. PP injection molding is mainly used in small household appliances, toys, washing machines, auto parts, etc.

     2. PP wire drawing. 

     Since the implementation of domestic environmental protection policies, the demand for cement and building materials packaging has gradually declined, and the plastic weaving industry has been hit hard. The corresponding PP plastic weaving market has been under pressure and has fallen. In the future, the proportion of PP plastic weaving in the overall use of polypropylene will continue to decline, and the plastic weaving industry will gradually expand into high-capacity, high-quality large packaging bags or low-capacity, low-content small packaging bags. Polypropylene wire drawing is mainly used in plastic weaving products. The container bags, woven bags, food bags and transparent bags used in daily life are all PP wire drawing products.

      3. PP film. 

      Polypropylene film is generally divided into BOPP film, CPP film, IPP film, and PP film is mainly used for food packaging. Compared with PE packaging bags, PP film food packaging bags have better transparency, greater hardness, and a more high-end appearance. Downstream demand is mainly concentrated around festivals and holidays.

      4. PP fiber. 

      Polypropylene fiber is a fiber product made of polypropylene by melt spinning. It is mainly used in decoration, clothing and other fields.

      5. PP pipes. 

      Because polypropylene is non-toxic and high temperature resistant, PP pipe materials are mainly used in water supply and heating systems. Compared with PE pipes, PP pipes are lighter, easier to transport, and have better environmental performance and can be recycled. Generally speaking, PP pipe materials are more popular in March-May and September-October.
